According to the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM), the current registration numbers of all business entities will be replaced by the new 12 digit registration number format effective from 11 October 2019.

Business entities that will be affected include companies, businesses and limited liability partnerships.

CCM has informed us that the existing registration numbers could still be used, until further notice to be issued by the authority. However, clients are advised to adopt the new number soonest possible for their invoices, letters, contract, signage and etc.

The new format is part of the government’s Small and Medium Enterprises Master Plan 2012 to 2020 to facilitate data management and system development.
